Sponsorship Program

Nothing is more precious than the lives of our children. It is difficult to imagine a child living with sickness, loneliness and gnawing hunger.  Yet, each day thousands of children in developing countries find themselves merely existing in these conditions.

Through Bridges of Hope Child Sponsorship Program you can make an impact in the life of such a child.  The child you choose will experience the joy and hope of knowing that someone cares enough to help.  With your contribution of $35 a month, you and your family will become an important and valued addition to your sponsored child’s life.

Each sponsored child is connected to a school-based child development project where she/he will receive the benefits of our sponsorship program.  Along with covering the basic needs, your child will receive educational opportunities, life-skills and vocational training, nutritional and healthcare support.  "Why not operate your projects out of local churches? Daniel is often asked (for he is also a minister), and his reply is simple: "because we want church and or any affiliation, to authentically remain a choice for the children and families, not a demand they must meet in order to get our ‘Godly’ services.” This method insures every dollar is spent for the benefit of the children.”

A weekly children’s club for community and sponsored children is hosted at our project sites as well.  Local leaders, counselors and volunteers engage with children who are suffering from the effects of poverty, war and disease to bring physical, emotional and spiritual healing into their lives.  The indigenous teams will continually assess the needs of your sponsored child, her/his family and community and assist community leaders in planning and building a brighter future for these children.

“Through the sponsorship program, our dream is to influence one million children; to build their Human, personal, social, financial and physical assets, profoundly impacting the way they live and become in the next 25 years,” Mr. Zopoula said, not just to feed and clothe them, but to equip them to become excellent at reproducing their acquired leadership capacity in their countries and beyond, moving from conditions of destabilization toward sustainable livelihood,” he emphasized. “Those who sponsor a child are helping to change the future of these nations,” he exclaimed. “Moreover, it is everyone’s moral responsibility to exercise a heart that actually cares for others.”
